For immediate release: Spoke Up! Let’s Talk Bikes aims showcase the diversity of our cycling community

September 20, 2018

HUB Cycling is proud to produce ‘Spoke Up! Let’s Talk Bikes’, a speaker event in celebration of HUB Cycling’s 20th anniversary. We've curated some of the most inspiring, influential and extraordinary members of the bike community to share their stories with us.

Our goal is to showcase the wonderful and diverse members of our local cycling community. From young to old, able bodied or otherwise and from a variety of social & economic backgrounds, cycling does not discriminate. Cycling is for everyone.

Join us for a night of inspiration. Our storytellers will tell you how they have overcome their challenges in life and how cycling has impacted their lives. These changemakers who dedicate their lives to inspire those who may have fallen ill from chronic illnesses, battle mental health challenges, and live with visual impairment but found an outlet in taking charge of their health and healing through cycling.

Tickets are now on sale. All attendees will be entered to win a prize package from Arc’teryx valued at over $1,100. This event expects to attract over 350 attendees to the accessible York Theatre on Commercial Drive. Free and secure bike parking will be available by The Bicycle Valet. For more information visit bikehub.ca/spokeup
